During a summer of sin
it begins
a tale of love for the ages
by the fall
you lose it all
only left with beautiful pages

Looking back
during the winter blast
on moments so courageous
times we spent
rules we bent
never was love so contagious

The color of spring
begins to bring
such beauty in several stages
a reminder you see
soon it will be
time for the sun to cover our faces

Clothes are shed
the cruel winter dead
our hearts break free of cages
again we find
what was left behind
as the seasons complete their changes

I know I am but summer to your heart, and not the full four seasons of the year

Yes they were. I used to practically live at the beach in the Summer, and it was...blissful. Except for the sunburns...they were bad. But the rest was perfect.

A good piece... but I think you could do better without the rhyming.
Still, this is lovely. :rose:

I agree. When writing about love it should never be constricted always free, however sometimes I get rhyme stuck in my head and its all I can produce. Thank you
